Why Heal?

Simply put, healing our subconscious and unhealthy habits, patterns, and beliefs allow us to bring in more of what we truly desire in our lives…..health of mind, body, spirit, happier and healthier, more fulfilling relationships with ourselves and others, our intimate relationships, and a deeper sense of peace and joy. Who doesn’t want to have increased happiness and fulfillment in every aspect of life? The good news is, is that this deeper and more fulfilling state of being is readily available to everyone, regardless of class, gender, age and sex…as long as we are willing to do the work to create this powerful change.


The Laws of Physics tell us that energy flows where attention goes…you change something just by observing it. What that means for us is that we can use those basic principles by setting our intention on something we wish to do/change/release or bring in more of, and then we take the action steps necessary to help manifest that desired change. Consciousness is not enough. We are spiritual beings encased in a physical body in a physical incarnation, which means we can’t just pray and meditate for change, we actually need to take action steps to support our non-physical states of being. If your house is on fire, meditating isn’t going to put the fire out. 


So How Do We Heal?


There are limitless tools and modalities out there to help each of us shift what we want to shift. There is no one size fits all or one single modality that will work for every person, except one. First, you must have the true desire to want to shift something and then you have to really want to do what it takes to make it happen. So first always ask yourself, what it is you think you want to shift, then ask yourself if you are really ready to shift it.


Next, be open to trying and exploring all the different modalities available to you that may call to you. Over the last 6 years I have utilized several different modalities and found that each one helps in a different way, and is always perfect for the specific layer I am working to shift and heal. So trust your intuition and curiosity. Books on various topics, a Reiki or other energy healing session, Body Talk, Life Coaching, Sound Healing, nutritional support, exercise, meditation, journaling, psychoanalysis, therapy, gemstones, and Theta Healing, these are just SOME of the available tools out there for you to play with. Use the ones you feel drawn to.


Remember, there is a profound difference between intellectual understanding of a concept and an experiential KNOWING. In this reality, it is the experience of something that is actually going to provide you the profound changes you desire. For example, you can mentally understand the process of childbirth, but until you actually give birth, you have no idea what it is truly like. Likewise, it is action steps, after the identifying of what it is you want to shift, that are the key piece to any real change. So take small, daily action steps, and before you know it, you will have transformed yourself, and your life.

Some powerful daily habits to help you launch into creating new habits are the following:

Daily Affirmations/Mantras:

  1. “I am willing to love myself exactly as I am”
  2. Before taking any action or decision, ask yourself, “Does this get me closer to my goals, or farther away?”
  3. Daily journaling. I cannot stress the power of this one enough. Even if you only jot down a few sentences each day, do it. You’ll uncover things you didn’t even know you were still holding onto and that are holding you back.


Small Daily Action Steps:

All of the people in the world that we admire, or who have achieved something that we see as “great” all have a few things in common. One o the big ones is that they list 1-3 things they want to accomplish each day that relate to their goals. They don’t waste time overwhelming themselves with the big picture and then do nothing from the overwhelm, they have the big picture always in the background but then they keep it simple by taking just a few daily steps towards it. Tony Robbins says “People overestimate what they can do in a year, and they underestimate what they can do in 10 years.” So don’t guess/wish/wonder about how long something will take. You’ll waste precious energy. Just jot down 1-3 action steps for each day and then DO them.


Neuroscientists have proven that the brain has high “plasticity” which means you can create new neural pathways all the time if you use your brain appropriately. One of the most effective ways to learn, grow and create new neural pathways is through repetition. The science behind what transformation occurs over the course of a year through seemingly small steps is PROFOUND. So, ask yourself what daily steps can YOU start?
